Libro FM is a great way to listen to audiobooks and support your local bookstore! You can use code FREEZERBOOK at checkout and you can get TWO audiobooks for the price of one ($14.99)! It’s a great deal and a great way to be a part of supporting local businesses
Don’t hate me, but I completely agree with the anti-King endorsement on the back of Dark Water!
He has a great imagination and I at least try to read everything he writes, but he can not write dialog. He’s actually admitted that.
I quit reading The Stand after 500+ pages simply because of the conversations involving ‘Mother Abagail’. She spoke like a 1950’s soap opera cleaning lady.
“Mayhap I am, child. Mayhap I am.” blech!
“I’ve got somethin’ to show you, Mister Man.” Mister Man?!
“…those who do evil ride over roads in Cadillac cars.”
And those are just the few I found just now by flipping through the book. There are much worse!
I love your podcast!

No hate! I had a lot of people agree with the sentiment. I agree that there have been a lot of questionable things and descriptors in SK books.
